WANIC AI & Predictive Analytics for Entertainment

Program Description:

Every click, swipe, and stream generates data. In sports, movies, video games and theme parks, the entertainment industry uses this data to understand audiences, predict trends, and create more engaging experiences. In business, healthcare, government, and manufacturing, the same skills drive efficiency, innovation, and smarter decision-making.

In the WANIC AI & Predictive Analytics for Entertainment program, students gain hands-on experience using AI, machine learning, and data analytics to make sense of the extensive collection of information shaping the modern world. Students learn to clean, analyze, and visualize data, then apply mathematics and programming to build models that identify patterns and support data-driven predictions.

In this full-year, 3-period Skill Center class (3 high school credits) students will:

  • Understand how data analytics and AI are applied across industries such as sports, media, healthcare, and finance
  • Learn Python programming and apply it to solve real-world data problems
  • Explore statistics, probability, and linear algebra to uncover patterns in complex datasets
  • Build and test predictive models using machine learning techniques
  • Create clear, compelling data visualizations that communicate insights effectively
  • Examine ethical considerations related to data and AI, including bias, privacy, and fairness
  • Collaborate in teams on projects that reflect real-world data science workflows
