Home / Academic Programs / WANIC Summer Programs / WANIC Intro to 3D Modeling & Animation
This course is designed exclusively for students who are brand new to 3D art and animation — ideal for those drawn to 3D video games, animated films, or building and creating things in imaginative ways for the first time.
Students get a broad, hands-on introduction to how digital worlds are constructed and brought to life, covering topics including 3D modeling basics, materials and textures, lighting and environments, movement and timing principles, camera work, and the animation production pipeline. The emphasis is on developing creative intuition and a well-rounded understanding of how these elements work together — a solid and engaging foundation for any student curious about digital media or game development for the first time.
LOCATION: DigiPen Institute, Redmond
