Young Explorers Workshops teach young students the basic principles of art and technology as they create their own basic video games, animations, robotics, and more.

Juniors Game Developer Day Options

Junior Workshops are exploratory workshops for students in Grades 5–7. These workshops introduce students to topics in video game programming, game design, art and animation, engineering, and music and sound design.

Teens Game Developer Day Options

DigiPen’s workshops for students in Grades 8–12 cover a range of video game programming, game design, art and animation, engineering, and music and sound design topics.

10:20 – 10:40 Industry Professional Chats about the Industry

10:45 – 10:45  Juniors and Teens go to Class

10:50 – 11:30  DigiPen Founder and President Claude Comair

11:30 – 11:30   Expo Opens

12:00 –  1:00  Lunch

1:00 – 1:10      Welcome Back (Explorers go to afternoon class)

1:10 –  1:30      A different Industry Professional Chats about the Industry

1:30 – 1:30     Juniors and Teens go to afternoon class

2:30 – 2:30    Expo Hall Closes

2:55 – 2:55     Children released from classes, and prize drawings

Game Developers need so many different skill sets. AM and PM sessions have the same offerings so be sure to sign up for a different option for each time period!

Game Developer Day Policies

AM Session: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM

PM Session:  1:00 PM – 3:00 PM

Families are invited to participate in our expo tables, industry expert talks, lunch and classes.

Parents are no longer required to stay.

This event takes place on our college campus.
