STEM Experience Day, March 21, 2002

The STEM Experience Day scheduled for next Saturday, March 21st is canceled. We will be leaving the STEM Experience Day planned for Saturday, April 25th, in place for now. If you would like us to transfer your student’s registration to that date,  please email academy@digipen.edu with “STEM Experience Day Transfer” in the subject line and be sure to include your student’s name and grade level in your email request.

As a replacement for the STEM Experience Day, you and your student may be interested in participating in our live online Masterclass entitled “Art Direction for 100 MPH ” featuring the CG Supervisor from Turn 10 Studios, Matt Collins. This class will be next Saturday, March 21st from 10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. More details here.

WANIC Technology Academy Program

DigiPen will host live online instruction for our WANIC tracks starting Wednesday, March 18th, at students regularly scheduled class times (i.e., 7:15 a.m., 12:30 p.m., and 3:30 p.m.). Instruction will be through our online learning management system, Canvas. Students can expect to be online for their entire scheduled class time. Recorded sessions are available to students on their Canvas class page. Please send any questions or concerns to Raymond Yan at raymond.yan@digipen.edu.

Girl Scout “Coding for Good” Badge Workshops – March 28th, April 4, and April 11th

The in-person training sessions scheduled for March 28th, April 4th, and April 11th from 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. will now be held live ONLINE using DigiPen’s web conferencing system. The software development environments used to teach the Scouts are web-based, so as long as your Scout has a computer with internet access, she will be able to participate without the need to install anything. Once a course is finished, DigiPen will arrange to mail your Scout her certificate of completion and “Coding for Good” badge. Instructions on how to join the online session will be emailed to families the week before each online session is to be taught.

If you wish to withdraw your Scout from participating online, please email academy@digipen.edu with “Coding for Good Withdrawl” in the subject line and please be sure to add your Scout’s name and workshop(s) she is registered for. A full refund will be issued.
