WANIC Intro to Computer Science

Program Description:

Taught at DigiPen Institute of Technology in Redmond, this course will launch you into the world of computer science and programming through the practice of writing code for a variety of applications including games and data analytics. The emphasis of the class is not on learning a specific language but instead, the foundational concepts – including variables, conditional statements, loops, functions, and arrays – and then layering in the critical logic and software development processes needed to pursue more advanced study in the field.

ALL students in this class attend in person 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM

This beginner-level program is introductory and designed for students with no prior exposure to the subject. 

Prerequisites:

This program is primarily for students entering high school (grades 9-12). Students must be part of the WANIC consortium (no out-of-consortium).
