WANIC Intro to Music & Sound Design

Program Description:

This course is designed exclusively for students who are brand new to music production and sound design — those with little to no musical background who are curious about how sound and creativity intersect in games and animation.

Students discover how music and sound effects are crafted to enhance video games and animated media, covering topics including fundamentals of music theory, core sound design principles, crafting immersive soundscapes, and the role of audio in storytelling and player experience. It’s an accessible and creative introduction to a field that sits at the intersection of art, technology, and imagination.

LOCATION: DigiPen Institute, Redmond.
